Rebate Processing States

Learn more about rebate processing states in Beacon MFP to track rebate progress from submission to final payment

Rebates progress through a sequence of processing steps as they move through the MFP rebate lifecycle. Each step represents a key milestone in the rebate lifecycle and is paired with a Processing State and a Description that reflects the rebate’s current position in the process.


Rebate Processing States in Beacon MFP

In Beacon MFP, you can view rebates alongside their current processing state in the Rebates list view as well as in the Rebate History, located within the Rebate Details of a specific rebate, which also includes all past and current processing states — along with their descriptions.

List of Rebate Processing States

In Beacon MFP, there are four processing states in which a rebate can fall throughout the rebate lifecycle. The four processing states include:

  • Processing – The rebate is undergoing initial review and validation steps.

  • Pending MTF Response – The rebate has been processed by Beacon and awaits a response or action from the MTF.

  • Approved – The rebate has met all requirements and is approved for fulfillment.

  • Rejected– The rebate failed one or more validations and has been rejected.

The following list outlines each processing state and provides a short explanation of its purpose within the workflow.

Processing

Covers all stages where the rebate is actively being processed.

Description

Details

Received from MTF

The rebate has been received from the MTF and sent to Beacon for evaluation.

Data Passed Validations

The rebate data passed validation checks and continued through processing.

Data Failed Validations

One or more validation checks failed.

340B Duplicate Found

Manufacturer determined the rebate is not payable due to 340B pricing on the underlying dispense.

Manufacturer‑Initiated Adjustment

Adjustment initiated by the manufacturer due to a GFI, repricing, or validation status change.

340B Reversal

A previously approved rebate has been reversed due to 340B pricing on the underlying dispense.

GFI Approved

A GFI was approved, and the rebate is being reprocessed based on the updated determination.

GFI Denied

A GFI was denied, and no changes were made to the rebate outcome.

Pending MTF Response

Covers the period where Beacon is awaiting a response from the MTF.

Details

Rebate Sent on MRA

The rebate was transmitted to the MTF and is awaiting their response.

Approved

Indicates that the rebate has reached an approved final determination.

Approved

Beacon received an approved response from the MTF, and the rebate is approved for payment.

Rejected

Indicates that the rebate has reached a rejected final determination.

Details

Rejected

A manufacturer rejected the rebate, and the rebate will not receive an associated payment.
